Core fields

Core fields in Strive hold standard member data that is validated and sometimes auto-generated in the Members list. Core fields cannot be deleted and their data type cannot be altered.

Core fields in Strive include:

Source: value based on how the member initially joined your list (autogenerated)
Date joined:
the date the member record was created (autogenerated)
Phone
: the member’s phone number
Subscribe
: the member’s opt-in status with your campaign. Strive will automatically update this value if the member unsubscribes or resubscribes
First name:
the member’s first name
Last name:
the member’s surname
Notes:
a text field that you can keep general notes in
Additional notes:
a text field that you can keep more general notes in
Groups:
any group your member is a part of. This is automatically updated when members are added or removed from groups. This field does not display archived groups.
Response Rate:
the member’s lifetime response rate with your campaign (autogenerated)
Click Rate: the member’s lifetime click rate with your campaign (autogenerated)
Call Rate: the member’s lifetime call rate with your campaign (autogenerated)
Total clicks:
the number of times a member has clicked a link in the lifetime of your campaign
Total calls
: the number of times a member has made a call in the lifetime of your campaign
Federal District
: The member’s federal district, auto-filled when a member has a valid address and zip code
Federal Representative:
The member’s federal rep, auto-filled when a member has a valid address and zip code
Federal Senator:
The member’s federal senator, auto-filled when a member has a valid address and zip code
Federal Senator 2:
The member’s federal senator, auto-filled when a member has a valid address and zip code
Sentiment:
the member’s overall sentiment score is calculated based on how they responded to messages sent to them in the lifetime of your campaign. (autogenerated)
Email:
the member’s email address
Street Address: The street address line1 value (building number and street name/suffix)
Zip code:
the member’s 5-digit zip code or zip plus 4 value.
City:
The member’s city
State: The member’s state, which is auto-filled based on zip code.
Timezone: The member’s time zone, determined first by their address, zip, and state. If no address data is available, Strive will use the timezone associated with the area code of the member’s phone. (autogenerated)
Carrier: The member’s mobile carrier, determined by data returned by their carrier upon broadcasting them a message (autogenerated)

Can I edit data in core field?

Yes! Edit core and custom data by importing data, or editing the member's data directly in the Members list or Inbox.

To edit data in the Members list, click the cell you'd like to edit.

Custom fields

Custom fields are created by admins in your campaign. A custom field’s data type will determine how the data is formatted and validated. Filter operators for custom fields will be based on their data type. Like core fields, custom fields store and display data in the Members table.

Can I collect custom data with Strive?‍

Yes! Once you have created a custom field, you can map custom data to the custom field via an import or Flows.

Where can I use custom field data?

‍Custom field data can be used in messages and included in filter conditions across the Inbox, Members, and Reports pages.

Custom Field Types:

Text: A text string that includes letters, numbers, and characters
Number:
A numerical value of positive numbers, including any decimals
Date
: A date value formatted Month/Day/Year, or an ISO formatted date. If no timestamp is included, Strive will default to noon UTC
Boolean: A true/false value
Currency:
A monetary value in US currency ($), including cents rounded to the nearest .  This value is stored as a number but will show as currency in the UI
Single Select:
A preset list of values where only one of the values can be selected
Multi Select: A preset list of values where any or all of the values can be selected

Create a custom field
  1. Head over to the Members list page
  2. Click Table Actions to the right of the Members table
  3. Click Add Custom field
  4. Name your custom field and select the data type
  5. If your custom field is single-select or multi-select, add your set of values. Add multiple values at once by separating them with a comma. Adjust the order in which they appear across Strive by dragging and dropping in the value table
  6. Click Save
  7. The custom field will now be visible in your Members list
Edit a custom field
  1. Head over to the Members list page
  2. Click Table Actions to the right of the Members table
  3. Click Manage Fields
  4. Click the ellipses (...)  next to the custom field and select Edit
  5. When you are finished editing, click Save
Delete a custom field
  1. Head over to the Members list page
  2. Click Table Actions to the right of the Members table
  3. Click Manage Fields
  4. Click the ellipses (...)  next to the custom field and select Delete
  5. To confirm the action, click Delete Field

Customize Member table view

With Strive you can create a custom table view so that your Members list only displays fields you're focused on.

Hide fields
  1. Head over to the Members list page
  2. Click Table Actions to the right of the Members table
  3. Click Manage Fields
  4. Toggle the visible switch to any next field you’d like to hide.
