Can I test my message before I send it?

Yes! You can test messages as you draft them or after you’ve finished, including your flows using the simulator and Test Message feature.

Can I test my messages on my device before sending to my audience?

To test your messages on your own device click the Test Message button in the top right corner of the broadcast compose page.

Can I test every step in my flow?

You sure can! To test flows use the Test Your Bot feature. If a step in your flow is set to reroute a member to a separate flow, you can test the entire experience from one flow to the next with the Test your Bot feature.

Send a test message

Quickly send a test message to your device without leaving the broadcast compose page.

1. From the broadcast page, compose your simple message or select a flow.
2. Next, click the Test Message button in the top right corner of the Broadcast Compose page
3. Search for your member record by phone number or your name.
   Note: You can select up to 5 members for test broadcasts
4. Click Send Test
5. A report will be generated, which can be accessed from the Test Broadcast tab of the Reports page.

Simulate Messages

Strive Messaging's simulator lets you test your message directly in the platform. Simulate the messaging experience as a member, while seeing how the Strive application will parse, match, and map incoming messages with your flow settings.

Test your broadcast message with Strive's in-app simulator

1. From the broadcast page, compose your simple message or select a flow. Your message will appear in the simulator to the right of the compose window
   Note: The message will not show dynamic fields populated with data if you are previewing as anonymous. To preview the message as a certain member, search and select the member from the dropdown
2. Click Review Before Sending
3. Confirm your broadcast settings
4. Toggle the Sample the messages you're sending, including dynamic fields button to see a sample of dynamic fields populated
   

Test your flow with Strive's in-app simulator

1. Click Flows in the left side navigation
2. Build your flow
3. Test your flow in the Test Your Bot window to the right of the compose window. To simulate the flow as a member, select the member record from the preview as drop down
4. If you are testing a Patch a Call bot action, enter a cell phone number you'd like to test from when you reach the bot action. Learn how to set up call targets
